Sept. 2026: Museum Exhibition and New Monograph
Farbe und Gebiet
Color and Territory
is the title of my new monograph as well as the title of the exhibition at Kunstmuseum Magdeburg/Museum of Fine Art Magdeburg. The museum-show will display a selection of early works from 1980-2002 from my series RUHR, OHIO and a major number of prints from AREAL. In addition, photographs from the new book will be on show, taken between 1986 and 1992 in the cities of the Ruhr-area and rarely seen until now.

The monograph „Farbe und Gebiet“/„Color and Territory“ contains a group of 42 photographs, most of them unpublished until now, taken in the second half of the 1980s until the early 1990s with a medium-format camera on Kodak Vericolor negative-film while traveling in and around the cities of the Ruhr-area. The book contains a text by Uwe Gellner, former curator of the fine-art collection of Kunstmuseum Magdeburg and is published by Verlag der Buchhandlung Franz und Walther König, Cologne.
